Rum Punch / Planter's Punch Recipes
The Ultimate Rum Punch  ...

OK yaw, this is my recipe,

In a 12 oz glass, full of ice, put ...
1 shot of Mount Gay Rum
Fill glass half up with Jumex Coconut/Pineapple nectare
Finish with Dole Pineapple/Orange/Banana
Stir the heck out of it ...
Lay in sun, and think of the good times.
Yeah, I should charge for that,
but I won't.

Planters Punch ... From Chris Lafaurie, owner of Long Bay Hotel, Antigua ...

Use 10 or 12 oz. Highball Glass.
Fill with ice.
1.5 oz. Rum.
1.5 oz. Simple sugar. (2 cups sugar add water to dissolve, boil until bubbling, cool, use.)
1.0 oz. Lime Juice (fresh is best) More if you like your drinks sour rather than sweet.
Several dashes ( generous) Angostura bitters.
Top off with Club Soda water.
Ground fresh nutmeg sprinkled on top.
Stir (not Shaken)
Add more nutmeg.

Planters Punch!
A. West Indian Recipe

A wine-glass with lemon fill,
Of sugar the same glass fill twice,
Then rub them together until
The mixture looks smooth, soft and nice

Of rum then three wine glassfuls add,
And four of cold water please take. A
Drink then you'll have that's not bad --
At least, so they say in Jamaica.
Not sure which book this came from, but I found it on a google search.  ...

Barbados Planter's Punch

1 1/2 oz gold rum          Juice of 1 Lime
1 tsp sugar syrup          Maraschino cherry
Dash Angostura bitters          Orange slices
Banana Slices          Water or club soda

Mix all ingredients, except banana, orange slices, cherry, and nutmeg, with cracked ice. Garnish with banana, orange slices, and maraschino cherry. Sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.
